The child of actress Billie Brockwell, Brockwell first appeared around the stage at age three. She produced her display debut in Philadelphia for the Lubin Organization in 1913, later on dealing with D.W. Griffith. Becoming a member of Fox Studios, Brockwell was among the busiest stars around and easily produced the changeover to sound movies. Married to movie director Robert Broadwell, she was also wedded for a limited period to Harry Edwards, previous husband of celebrity Louise Glaum. On June 27, Brockwell was a traveler in an automobile with her partner, advertising guy Thomas Stanley Brennan, when the automobile plunged more than a 75 feet embankment in Calabasas. Brockwell was pinned beneath the car and suffered substance fractures to her jaw, a fractured skull and many other serious accidents Brennan was significantly harm and survived his accidents. While hospitalized, Brockwell received four bloodstream transfusions and passed away from peritonitis which created due to her several accidents. Brennan mentioned that dirt and cinders blew into his eye causing him to reduce control of the automobile, he was exonerated of blame with the coroner’s jury.
