Composer, songwriter (“Right up until the End of your time”), writer and comedian, educated in the Foster College and Goodrich College in Chicago, Illinois. He was a vaudeville comedian, and relocated to musical comedies. He was a restaurateur for a while, then returned to the level. In Mexico, he possessed and managed a tourist resort in Cuernavaca, and published songs for night time club revues. Becoming a member of ASCAP in 1941, his main musical collaborators included Al Piantadosi and Abner Metallic. His additional popular-song composiions consist of “The Curse of the Aching Heart”, “My Spanish Rose”, “THERE SHOULD BE grounds”, “Skate BESIDE ME”, “When the Rains Can be found in Samoa”, “Cuernavaca Sunset”, “One Instant, Please Go Gradually”, “Tomorrow and Tomorrow” and “You’re A LOT MORE THAN Heaven if you ask me”.
