Composer, conductor and educator, himself educated on the School of Nebraska College of Music (with an honorary Music Level), Juilliard, Northwestern School (honorary Music Level), the American Academy (Prix de Rome), Syracuse College or university, the Horner Institute, Augustana University and Theology Seminary, the American Conservatory, Columbia College or university, Capital College or university, Shurtleff University, Hartt University of Music, New Britain Conservatory, Temple College or university, Newcomb University, Tulane College or university, the College or university of Michigan (LL.D), Illinois Wesleyan College or university, University from the Pacific (Litt. D.), Keuka University (LHD), Drury University, and Valparaiso College or university.
