Referred to as “The Bitch of Buchenwald”, Ilse Koch was the wife of Karl Koch, the SS commandant from the Nazi concentration/extermination camps of Buchenwald and Majdanek during World War II. An ardent Nazi, she was accused following the battle of battle crimes, particularly that she decided to go with specific camp prisoners with original tattoos to become murdered and skinned, and she would have got lampshades manufactured from the tattooed epidermis. She and her hubby were arrested with the SS in 1943 on fees of embezzlement and murder of prisoners (there have been rumors the fact that fees had been a cover for the actual fact that her hubby, a homosexual, got attempted to blackmail best SS officials who had been also homosexuals).
