Jack Canon was created in 1934. Cannon gave a particularly solid and convincing functionality as ruthless legal gang ringleader Steele in Frederick R. Friedel’s offbeat and unsettling drive-in horror cult traditional Axe (1974). Friedel was therefore impressed with Jack’s performing in Axe (1974) that he particularly wrote the business lead function of weary and cynical small-time hoodlum Eddie Matlock for Jack port to try out in his similarly quirky follow-up film Time using a Kidnapper (1976). Nevertheless, Jack did sometimes continue to pop-up in little parts in such films as Optimum Overdrive (1986) and Weekend at Bernie’s (1989). Cannon died at age group 70 in 2004.
