Composer, conductor, pianist, arranger and songwriter, educated in Culver-Stockton University (BA). He also analyzed with his dad, and with Louise Robyn. He resided in Hannibal, Missouri (1934-1936) where he supervised instrumental music. After that he arranged and did piano function for NBC, CBS, and WGN for five years. From 1943 to 1945, he organized for the Navy Symphony in Washington, DC. After that he organized for and followed Curt Massey, the Dinning Sisters, Dinah Shoreline, Mel Blanc, Johnny Desmond, Stan Freberg, and Gale Surprise. He composed, carried out and organized music for several radio and tv commercials. His chief music collaborators were Ernie Ford, Kenneth Snyder, Al Track, and Burr Tillstrom. Becoming a member of ASCAP in 1954, he made up the popular tunes “Silly” and “You’re A Personality, Dear”. His traditional functions include “The Hand Springs Suite” as well as the opera “St. George as well as the Dragon”.
