James Opportunity, was the saxophonist in Teenage Jesus as well as the Jerks, who also appeared on Brian Eno’s Zero NY compilation. Opportunity formed his personal group, the Contortions. Using the breakup from the Contortions, Opportunity became White colored and founded a fantastic band called Wayne White as well as the Blacks, offering an all dark aside from “White colored” line-up of best musicians, like the popular jazz players, trombonist Joe Bowie (who founded Defunkt) and guitarist Bern Nix. The Contortions and Wayne White as well as the Blacks released several albums. He’s still energetic with a fresh band and a fresh album: James White colored as well as the Sardonic Sinphonics.
