Wayne Greer was Senior Editor and Senior Article writer at Spin publication in NYC in the first 90s. Then relocated to Dayton, Ohio, where in 1994 he became a member of the important Indie rock-band Led By Voices, adding bass acoustic guitar and vocals towards the albums Alien Lanes (Matador, 1995) and Beneath the Bushes Beneath the Celebrities (Matador, 1996) and touring thoroughly over the U.S. and in European countries. Furthermore to his profession like a screenwriter, Greer has posted two novels, Artificial Light (Small House around the Bowery/Akashic, 2006) as well as the Failure (Akashic, 2010). Artificial Light received a California Publication Award Metallic Medal for Initial Fiction. Greer also wrote a biography of Guided By Voices, Guided By Voices: A BRIEF OVERVIEW (Black Kitty/Grove Press, 2005). He lives in LA but spends a lot of amount of time in France.
