Adam started his profession at MTV European countries in 1988. After a short Press Official stint he relocated ahead at MTV like a Senior Maker / Movie director / Programmer. From 1988 to 2000, Hyman steered MTV through the emerging UK dance music picture, from its inception (the ‘acidity home’ explosion) through to its current global multi-million buck culture. Hyman’s MTV displays featured more than 500 in-depth interviews with all the current major players like the Prodigy, Goldie, Moby, David Holmes, Chemical substance Brothers, Underworld, Paul Oakenfold, Aphex Twin etc. He was involved with all areas of playlist technique & programme creation and was also in charge of producing, directing and editing and enhancing more than 250 pop video clips, including videos for Fatboy Slim, New Purchase, Mike Oldfield, Moby, Prince and Michael Jackson. By this time around, Hyman had amassed an individual collection of over one million publications, 50,000+Vinyl, 50,000+ CDs and a broadcast quality assortment of twenty years of Pop Video. Whilst maintaining a foothold in the printing media like a Columnist / Correspondent for various international magazines (Music Week, Televizier, Hip-Hop Connection etc.), he started presenting specialist applications on terrestrial Television including Frontal (C4), Personal Solutions (C5 – BAFTA short-listed) and acted as an integral professional / commentator on ITV’s series The Dance Years. Hyman produced series for the BBC’s Play UK route, Hey DJ (40 shows) and Pleasure of Decks (60 shows), both a continuation from the MTV Megamix (100 shows) format Wayne had created, mixing music videos just as a golf club DJ mixes information. Then presented Sci-Fi Channel’s 5th Wedding anniversary Week, accompanied by a critically acclaimed Sci-Fi Route series which he wrote, produced and presented. Commercial customers include Morrisons (Take That’s ‘Shine’), Opel Vauxhall (Louis Armstrong’s ‘What an excellent World’), Head & Shoulders (Steve Harley’s ‘Make Me Smile’), Adidas, Ford, Lynx, T-Mobile, Gordons Gin, Lux, Vodafone, Levis, Johnnie Walker and Sony Ericsson. Route Branding: Breakthrough UK – Madonna ‘Frozen’, Elton John ‘Believe’, The Treat ‘Lullaby’, Pretenders ‘Hymn To Her, Substantial Attack ‘Security’. In 2000, Hyman took to the airwaves as an XFM DJ, presenting, producing & development, The Wash (MUZIK magazine nominated Best Radio Present in 2002) as well as the Remix (among Campaign Magazine’s Top 10 radio displays in 2001 & Sony Award nominated 2003), which he co-hosted with Eddy Temple-Morris. The Remix spawned 2 compilation albums on Virgin/EMI platform for the cultural zeitgeist of bootlegging/remixing, which propelled famous brands Sugababes (Freak Like Me personally) and Liberty X (Getting Nobody) to UK 1 hits. Further Compact disc compilations included 2 CDs of well-known cover versions for BMG, an Ice T interview to accompany the rapper’s personal trip through hip-hop history and Hyman’s mix-CDs which went beyond cult status – the mash-up of James Connection/007 films was among the Sunday Telegraphs best 5 albums in 2004 and his Tarantino themed mixture of monitors, dialogue and even more in the works of acclaimed film director Quentin Tarantino received excellent reviews and praise from Tarantino himself. Hyman added another XFM display to his radio repertoire, Sunday afternoons from 3PM whilst his voice-overs could be heard for Strike40 UK, Toyota, BT, Daily Celebrity, The Military and Sony Playstation. He is still an in-demand event DJ, rotating at film-premieres for Britney Spears, Eminem, Will Smith and Madonna aswell units for BMW,Glastonbury Event and Carphone Warehouse.
