Mini Biography

Jason Turley began monitoring video creation at RMIT in 2001, where he made his initial brief film Holy Toledo! (2001). Following short films produced at RMIT included Lemon Twist (2002), Scab a Smoke cigarettes (2002), Dirty Function (2003) and Wooden Center (2004). While learning Jason assisted other filmmakers using their projects in a variety of capacities including audio recordist, camera operator, creation assistant and actor. He spent some time working on commercial tv as another device camera operator and associate editor. He was the pants programmer for the Melbourne Underground Film Event (2005-2009) and may be the inventor and current movie director from the Sexy International Film Event in Melbourne, which also moves to Paris, NY and LA. Jason’s self-financed feature film entitled Welcome Stranger premiered on Dvd and blu-ray by Highlight Underground in Dec 2007. His latest brief Crazy in the night time was shot in ’09 2009 and completed in Apr 2010.
