Jean Winstanley was created in 1913 in Lancashire, Britain as Jean Beattie Winstanley. She studied Sculpture at Manchester Regional University of Artwork and Style and was an associate from the art college theatre group. She studied Performing at RADA, graduating in 1934. She spent period using the Manchester Repertory Theatre.
