Mini Biography

John was created in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1967, and lived in Seattle, Washington and Brookline, Massachusetts before settling in NEW YORK in 1989. He went to Berklee University of Music from 1985-1989 and graduated Magna Cum Laude using a Bachelor of Music Level. During this time period he composed music thoroughly for Boston region theatrical productions and constructed two primary musicals. Presently a Freelance Sound Supervisor, John worked for Sync Sound/Digital Cinema in NEW YORK from 1989-2014. He is experienced in sound mixing up, editing, and ADR guidance for film and tv with concentrations which range from scripted live actions, to computer animation, to traditional music. Credits consist of: “The People in america” (F/X), “Borgia” (Canal+), MTV computer animation (Beavis & Butt-head, Daria, Superstar Deathmatch); HBO (Actual Sex, numerous documentaries); and over 100 game titles as Music Editor for The Metropolitan Opera. In the past a decade John has created music independently for many productions, including Daria (Trent’s group & incidental music); Superstar Deathmatch (Open up & “specific” incidental music). Latest projects consist of: Music to get a 36 portion series made to coach British to Vietnamese kids, and the advancement of an individual catalog of licensable game titles in varying designs. Furthermore to his function in the sound and music areas, John has earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Rules School. He’s wedded to Kristin Adam and provides two daughters, Christina & Sara.
