Child of architect Lansing C. Holden, Sr. (1858-1930), Lansing C. Holden Jr. became a member of the US atmosphere program in 1917 and offered in France, soaring alongside another pilot, Merian C. Cooper, who was simply later to show instrumental to his Hollywood profession. In 1919 Holden graduated from Princeton University or college having a Bachelor of Arts level, later time for the university to consider graduate programs in Structures.
