Leigh Whannell was raised in Melbourne, Australia, where, at age four, he created an obsession with informing stories. Whether through acting, composing or filmmaking, his principal love was obtaining a response from an market. In 1995, at age 18, he was recognized in to the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology’s esteemed Media Arts training course, where he fulfilled fellow filmmaker Adam Wan. In his second season of university, he arrived the function of “film man” on the Saturday morning Television show aimed at teenagers known as Recovery (1996).
