Lindley Evans moved to Australia in 1912 and studied piano and structure with Frank Hutchens in the brand new South Wales Conservatorium of Music. Later on he visited research in London, Britain with Tobias Matthay.From 1922 onwards, Evans was accompanist to ‘Nellie Melba’. Fellow pianist Isador Goodman became an excellent friend from 1930 until their fatalities, within hours of every other.
