Among the tallest stars ever, he held various odd careers before his debut within the big screen. He worked well for Spike Jones and his Town Slickers, Ardens Dairy (in California,) like a Cowboy for PR with Knotts Berry Plantation, (in California) also like a Cowboy. It had been while he was operating like a doorman at Grauman’s Chinese language Theater in Hollywood that his elevation was observed and due to it he was selected for the part of Gort. He also hosted a children’s Television show in the LA area within the 50s known as ‘The Gentle Large’. He had not been a very solid guy for his size. He was buried at Forest Yard Memorial Recreation area in Hollywood Hillsides, California.
