‘Marie Bjelke-Petersen’ was created to a prospering category of Danish farmers in 1875. After surviving in Copenhagen for some of their lives, the family members migrated to Tasmania in 1891. Marie was a multi-linguist, aswell as an achieved musician and novice painter. After many years of intensive travel around the world, Marie started to create for newspapers, like the ‘Sydney Morning hours Herald’ as well as the ‘Sydney Email’. She had written several short tales too, a lot of that have been reproduced in ‘The Instances’ (London). Her 1st book, ‘The Captive Vocalist’, offered 100,000 copies in britain. She spent the years 1921-23 across the crazy, mining section of the Savage River, collecting materials for her publication ‘Jewelled Evenings’, that was later on filmed with a Hollywood Studio room (Jewelled Evenings (1925).
