Matt Healy was created in Paisley in Scotland and changed his name when he used acting because there is already an professional referred to as David Healy. When he was 3 years previous he moved along with his parents to Oldham in Lancashire, that was where he was raised, attending Oldham University and the School of Salford University. After leaving university he travelled overseas until deciding to consider up acting being a full-time profession, but admits that he spent lots of time ‘relaxing’ and dealing with manual careers between finding assignments. In 1997 he made an appearance as a homosexual stripper who eventually ends up carrying out the entire Monty inside a touring edition of the humor play ‘Ladies’ Night time Out’ and made an appearance in several corporate and business videos and little bit parts in tv series. He was nearly considering quitting performing when, in 2004, he auditioned for the part of devious Matthew Ruler in television cleaning soap opera ‘Emmerdale’.
