Mini Biography

Max Hansen was created in Mannheim, Germany, but grew up by his stage parents in Munich. His mom was a Danish Celebrity, Eva Haller, his father’s name was von Waldheim. In his college days, he currently sang on the Opera Home, so he gained the nickname “THE TINY Caruso” (“Der kleine Caruso”). Afterwards he researched Music and Tone of voice and got employment on the Simplizissimus Cabaret in Munich. From 1914 he performed Operettas in Vienna and became an excellent friend of Franz Lehár. From then on he proved helpful in Berlin on the Metropole Movie theater and became there a superstar of operettas, revues, cabaret and radio. He started performing in five silent movies, from 1926 to 28. His initial talkie was Wien, du Stadt der Lieder (1930) (“Vienna, Town of Tune”) (1930). In 1932 he performed opposing Gitta Alpar in She, or No one (1932) (“She, or No one”). He still left Germany in 1933 for Vienna also to play in Switzerland, Amsterdam, Oslo and Helsinki. On the late summer time in 1936, while she is at Copenhagen, Swedish vocalist Zarah Leaner received a mobile call from Utmost Hansen. He asked her if she spoke German and she replied that she do. Next he wished to understand if she’d take the feminine business lead in “Axel an der Himmels Tür” (“Axel on the Gate of Heaven”), an Operetta with music by Ralph Benatzky. Hansen, in cooperation with Paul Morgan and Hans Weigel, was creating the Operetta in Movie theater an der Wien. Zarah was therefore excited to obtain her initial German speaking function that she recognized the component without even requesting how much cash they were providing her. In 1949 Utmost Hansen stopped at Hamburg, in 1951 he performed in Berlin and Scandinavia. He passed away in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1961.
