Blessed in Pasadena, Sutton spent his years as a child moving along with his family members in one California town to another, finding yourself — in his teenager years–in Laguna Seaside, California. In senior high school, he acted in several school plays beneath the direction of Judy Farrell, then wife of Mike Farrell of M*A*S*H fame. He also made an appearance at age 16 inside a Laguna Playhouse creation of “The Knack” aimed by renowned personality acting professional Sterling Holloway. A comparable time, a short stint as theatre critic for the neighborhood paper marked the beginning of his writing profession. Going to UC Irvine from 1967-68, he acted in additional productions–but his fascination with playwriting was piqued when he went to a course about them trained by William Inge. Sutton used in the theater division at UCLA in 1968, where he continued performing — but was daunted by the chance of experiencing to leap through the essential hoops essential to establish himself while a professional acting professional… As a result, when three of his one-acts created there have been favorably received, he completely switched his concentrate from performing to writing. In the next decades, Sutton divided his time taken between writing performs, a novel, TV episodes, and screenplays–the second option two primarily in collaboration with Chris Miller, co-writer of “Animal House,” with whom he was partnered for 12 years. He wedded actress Kate Sarchet in 1989, and fathered 1 son: Timothy Michael Sutton. Pursuing his divorce, and the finish of his collaboration with Miller five years later, Sutton considered web site design and computer teaching, while continuing to create — now primarily for the theater. In 2011, Sutton relocated to Spokane, Washington, and in 2014 wrote the play “Lilyville,” satirizing that city and its own inhabitants. His boy Tim is students at Cal Condition Fullerton.
