Mikhail Danilov started his performing career in the Pushkin Drama Theater in Leningrad (St. Petersburg). From 1968-1991 Danilov was a permanent person in the legendary troupe of Bolshoi Drama Theatre (BDT) in St. Petersburg (Leningrad) under directorship of Georgi Tovstonogov. Danilov caused Tovstonogov for 30 years. Throughout that period Danilov caused a superb ensemble of stars at BDT. He was designated the name of Honorable Designer of Russia.
