Milford Wriarson Howard was a two-term Congressman from Alabama. Blessed near Rome in Floyd State, Georgia, Howard examined laws in Cedartown, Ga. but transferred to to Fort Payne, Alabama in 1880 and was accepted to practice laws prior to the Alabama club the following yr. He was elected like a Populist towards the 54th and 55th Congresses (March 4, 1895 – March 3, 1899) but didn’t seek another term, resuming the practice of regulation in Fort Payne in 1904. In 1918, he shifted to Montrose, near LA, to activate in literary pursuits. “The Bishop from the Ozarks” was something of that period. He passed away in LA, on Dec 28, 1937 and was interred in His Shrine Chapel, atop Lookout Hill, near Mentone, Ala.
