Blues vocalist/songwriter Mississippi John Harm was created John Smith Harm in Teoc, MS, on July 3, 1893. As a man he trained himself how exactly to play electric guitar and performed at regional night clubs and dances. In 1928 a skill scout for Okeh Information noticed him and agreed upon him towards the label, after that delivered him to Memphis and NEW YORK to record. He produced 13 tracks for the label, but came back to Mississippi where he held performing before early 1960s, whenever a folk-music enthusiast discovered his functions. He appeared on the Newport Jazz Celebration in 1963, 1964 and 1965 and on a number of tv shows. He also documented three albums for Vanguard Information.
