Nelson F. Mathias was initiated into I.A.T.S.E. Regional 80 on January 18, 1936. Nels was the initial blessed of four kids. He grew up on his parents plantation in Shadeville, Ohio. He give up college when he was 12 yrs . old to greatly help support the family members. At 16 years he learned structure, doing work for his Grandfather. He found its way to California in 1927.
