Paolo Noto was created in Monterosso Almo, just a little hill city in Sicily (Italy), in 1907. His parents, Salvatore and Maria, currently had another boy, Pietro. Since he was a decade older, until he was nearly 80 years older, he worked like a peasant, in the property inherited from his family members. The Starman, by Giuseppe Tornatore, is actually the only film he produced. Tornatore individually chose him for the part of “zu’ Leonardo” (uncle Leonardo), a vintage Garibaldi’s soldier who hates priests and religious beliefs. Ironically, in the true existence, he was extremely pious and specialized in the Virgin Mary. When he passed away, in 2003, he was 95 years of age.
