Paul Bijpost (Alkmaar, NL, 1969) was raised inside a noisy environment. His mom was a traditional solo vocalist, his dad a guitarist and choir tenor, his eldest sibling an obstinate electric-guitar rocker. As a youngster in the first eighties Paul got thinking about electronics and audio engineering. He built his own regional radio train station and produced sound collage music by overdubbing on analog Small Cassettes. At age 12 Paul began playing drums and percussion in a number of bands and little orchestras. He was thinking about building dedicated acoustic guitar effect-boxes, changing music products and recorded demonstration classes on analog 4 monitor reel-to-reel machines. Always regarding audio engineering while “only a frustrating hobby” Paul commenced his post senior high school research with Modern Background in Utrecht. Quickly bored from the books he turned to Sonology in the Royal Conservatory in The Hague a 12 months later on.
