Paul Garnes offers served as maker, line maker and/or production supervisor on movies and tv series for Disney, Dreamworks, HBO, ABC, NBC, Wager, Sony/Display Gems, Magnolia Movies, and Paramount Photos. A graduate of Chicago’s Columbia University, Garnes spent some time working as Vice Chief executive of Procedures and Creation for Academy Award champion Jamie Foxx’s Foxx/Ruler Productions and Mind of Creation for Simmons-Lathan Press Group. In 2006, Garnes was recruited by Tyler Perry and Reuben Cannon to become listed on the Tyler Perry Company where he served as Vice Chief executive and Executive responsible for Creation until 2009, overseeing the creation of its multi-million dollar studio room and backlot. Furthermore to daily procedures, Garnes supervised over 250 shows of broadcast tv while at the studio room. In 2011, he produced filmmaker Ava DuVernay’s award-winning 3rd party feature, “Middle of Nowhere,” which received Best Movie director honors in the 2012 Sundance Film Festival as well as the Independent Spirit Awards’ John Cassavetes Award. In 2014, Paul was professional producer from the film “Selma,” a biopic directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Paramount Photos, which chronicles some the three Selma marches led by Dr. Martin Luther Ruler, Jr. assisting the 1965 Civil Privileges Voting Work. “Selma” can be nominated for the 2015 Academy Award for Greatest Picture and Greatest Original Music, and earned a 2015 Golden World for Best Unique Song. Furthermore, Garnes continued his are producer on the ultimate season of BET’s hit series “THE OVERALL GAME.”
