Pavel Chukhray is a Russian screenwriter and film movie director. He graduated from VGIK (All-Union Condition Institute of Cinematography): in 1971 — in the cameraman’s section, in 1974 — in the director’s section. He started his film profession being a cameraman associate, a movie director of photography, and an attribute film movie director. He wrote several scripts including “WHO’LL PURCHASE the Lot of money” (aimed by Konstantin Khudyakov). He’s most widely known for his film The Thief (1997), that was nominated for any Golden World and an Academy Honor for Best SPANISH Film and received the Nika Honor for Greatest Picture and Greatest Directing. He’s the son from the prominent Russian film movie director Grigory Chukhray. Steven Spielberg asked Pavel Chukhray to take part in his task: “Broken Silence ” (2002), a global documentary mini-series about the holocaust. Pavel Chukhray aimed the section “Children from your Abyss.”
