The son of the newspaperman, Canadian-born Pierre Jalbert graduated from Ouellet College and attended Laval University. A champ skier, he visited study art understanding on the Sorbonne in Paris. In 1949 he seen Hollywood and afterwards that year came back to Paris and became a member of a French film firm as a creation helper. A stint being a skiing instructor at Sunlight Valley in the first 1950s whetted his performing ambitions, and in 1952 he going to Hollywood. Initially he proved helpful at a number of careers before eventually selecting steady employment being a film cutter and editor at MGM. He previously been utilized there for pretty much a decade before signing to try out the French-speaking Caje (brief for Cajun) LeMay in ABC-TV’s strike war series, Fight! (1962). Pierre’s post-“Fight!” acting profession included performances in made-for-television films and several strike series. Mainly though, he gained his reputation–and living–as a film editor.
