Piet Hendriks was to the general public mainly referred to as the ‘Ingenieur’ in the renowned tv-musical ‘Ja Zuster, Nee Zuster’. Before early nineties he performed in the Dutch model of Sesamestreet. Being a guy, he wished to go directly to the movie theater, though his parents urged him to be an electrician. He was generally performing in amateurcompanies. Following the battle he proved helpful at the top postoffice of Amsterdam, with that stage he made a decision to become an professional. He was employed for the membership of Tom Manders, better referred to as Dorus. In 1954 he produced his first tv appearance within a present of Tom Manders. From then on he hardly performed in the theatre any longer, and he began to appear in tv series. He constantly played ‘little’ parts: a police-man, a waiter, a lackey, a pedestrian. He was playing the component of ‘de Ingenieur’ (the engineer) inside a moderate way: like a counter-measure against the additional characters, who have been all very loud. His just title-part is at the television sets series ‘De Wolvenman’ (The Wolf-man) by Dick Walda, like a widowed guy who starts a fresh romance, and doing this arouses the anger of his kids. After this component he began to play little parts once again. Mr. Hendriks occasionally felt a bit underrated and even discriminated.
