Blessed in Königsberg in 1935, Renate Ewert and her family members had to keep their house and relocate to Hamburg during WWII. As she was driven to be an celebrity, she requested the “Hamburger Kammerspiele” but was turned down. By carrying out synchronising careers for foreign films she finally got her initial role in the 3rd element of 08/15 – In der Heimat (1955). From then on one, she made an appearance in several films as the seductive, inexplicable girl but hardly ever got the dramatic parts she was wanting to play. She had affairs with some famous actors of that time period but these didn’t help her career.
