Ricky started playing drums at age 9 with his old brothers. They produced a band known as “The Flames,” produced many recordings, toured around Southern Africa and became very popular. In 1968, The Flames transferred to London; after that L.A. in 1970, after putting your signature on to the Seaside Children’ “Sibling” label for whom they produced 2 albums. FOLLOWING THE Flames disbanded, Ricky became a member of the Seaside Boys, touring thoroughly and documenting in Holland. Ricky proved helpful in London and L.A. numerous artists. Throughout that period (1977-78) Eric Idle asked him to surface in the TV present “The Rutles, ALL YOU HAVE TO is Money,” playing Stig O’Hara (the tranquil one). Ricky fulfilled Bonnie Raitt in 1979, after dealing with Ian McLagan and co-producing Australian vocalist Renee Geyer. Bonnie asked him to try out on her behalf Green Light record within the Bump Band. Then emigrated to Australia where he performed on and co-produced albums for Tim Finn, Congested Home, Jenny Morris, Wendy Matthews, Renee among others. He created music for the movies “The Coca-Cola Child,” “Great Tide” and Barry Humpries’ “Les Patterson Saves the Globe.” He also constructed the rating for an Australian film, “Spotswood.”
