He bought a pastime inside a camera store and later surely got to find out a nearby clothing that made underwater filming products for Jacques-Yves Cousteau. Products restrictions at that time produced wide-angle filming hard, and Gottschalk started tinkering with anamorphic zoom lens equipment trademarked by Henri Chrétien. In 1953, the CinemaScope procedure, predicated on Chrétien’s patents, was bought and called by 20th Hundred years Fox. As the video camera lenses were available these days, the process needed projection lenses aswell. Gottschalk teamed up with many colleagues and started offering projection lens beneath the name Panavision, that used prismatic instead of cylindrical optics. This resulted in a successful growth into lens for video cameras which remain trusted.[1] with Richard Gottschalk was a two period Academy Award champion. His first honor was a particular Technical Oscar, granted in 1960 for the introduction of the MGM Video camera 65 widescreen photographic program. He distributed the Oscar with MGM professional Douglas Shearer and Panavision co-founder John R. Moore.[2] He received an Academy Award of Merit in 1978 for developing the Panaflex camera.[3] Richard Debolt help him with a lot of this work.
