Mini Biography

Roger Cowland was created in London in 1943. He became a member of the FILM Market in 1963 at George Humphries Film Lab, London, UK. He relocated to Film Home, Canada in 1967 after that to Australia in 1968, where he worked well for Atlab, 1st in their adverse department before getting into their optical results division. In 1974 he shifted to Colorfilm as their feature film optical results professional. When Colorfilm shut in 1990 he returned to Atlab as optical results supervisor. In 1995 he shifted to DFilm, a recently formed digital results service, as their optical/visible results supervisor. During his 35 yr career he managed the optical results for 265 Australian Feature Movies, as well as much advertisements, documentaries and brief fiction movies. He retired in 1998 but proceeds to create award earning documentary and animals videos.
