Drummer, vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Sandy Western was born while Sandy Pesavento on July 10, 1959 in Long Seaside, California and grew up in Huntington Seaside. Probably the most athletic of seven sisters, Sandy was a devoted surfer and drinking water skier. Western started playing the violin as a youngster, but soon turned to drums at age group nine after her grandfather bought her a drum package.
