Seyfi Teoman was created in Kayseri, Turkey in 1977. After learning economics at Bogazici University or college in Istanbul, he worked well as assistant movie director in various brief movies and advertisements. He resided in Lodz in Poland for just two years, learning film directing at Polish Country wide Film College where his teacher and supervisor was acclaimed Polish movie director Mariusz Grzegorzek. He shot his graduation film, Apartman (House) in 2004 which includes been officially screened in lots of international film celebrations. His feature debut, Tatil Kitabi (Summertime Reserve), was the just Turkish production recognized towards the 58th Berlin International Film Celebration. After its globe premiere at Berlinale’s Community forum section, the film earned Greatest Film and Fipresci Award on the 27th Istanbul International Film Celebration. His second feature, Bizim Buyuk Carsizligimiz (Our Grand Despair), can be selected for your competition at Berlinale 2011. Teoman happens to be focusing on his third feature, provisionally entitled as Evliya (Saints).
