Slav Bakalov functions as a painter, sculptor, article writer and movie director of animated movies. He graduated from Sofia Artwork College (1964) and from your Condition Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), Moscow (1975). Artwork director and movie director at Sofia Computer animation Film Studio room (1974/89) and artwork supervisor of Cadence Computer animation Division, Boyana Feature Film Studios (1989/90). Between 1975 and 1989 he produced over 50 cartoons, one of these feature-length, and four documentaries. He received several honours for his animations with Palme d’Or in Cannes 1985 amongst others.
