Born in NEW YORK, Stephen Alexander was raised in Portsmouth, Ohio, a little Appalachian town. After graduating at THE FACULTY of Wooster, he went to Illinois State School, where he received a Experts of Great Arts in Directing. A genuine Renaissance guy, Stephen makes his profession from directing, music directing, composing, composing lyrics, and a complete range of theatrical practice. In 1995, he relocated to Portland, OR, where he was honored with four consecutive Drammy Honours (Portland’s “Tonys”), from 2001-04. From 2007-10, he offered as Artistic Movie director at Grandstreet Theater in Helena, MT, before shifting back again to Portland. Stephen was also honored as Greatest Music Movie director (2004) from the Oregon Theater Alliance, as well as the 2006 Leslie O. Fulton Fellowship in Composing.
