Stephen Sachs is a screenwriter and an award-winning theatre director and playwright. He had written the teleplay for Lovely Nothing in my own Ear canal (2008) for Hallmark Hall of Popularity starring Marlee Matlin and Jeff Daniels. He co-founded The Fountain Theater in LA and serves seeing that Co-Artistic Director. As Movie director: Athol Fugard’s Success (US premiere) and Exits and Entrances (world premiere in LA, Off-Broadway at Major Levels) Miss Julie:Independence Summertime (world premiere), Gilgamesh (world premiere), String of Pearls (Western world Coastline Premiere), Hippolytos (J. Paul Getty Museum), THE STREET to Mecca (LA premiere), Following the Fall, The Seagull, The Young boys in the Music group, and many more. As playwright: Miss Julie:Freedom Summer, Gilgamesh, Open up Home window (Pasadena Playhouse), Central Avenue (PEN USA Literary Award Finalist, Garland Award for Best Play), Special Nothing in my own Ear (PEN USA Literary Award Finalist), Mother’s Day, The Golden Gate (Drama-Logue Award, Best Play), as well as the Baron in the Trees and shrubs. Miss Julie:Independence Summertime had its globe premiere on the Fountain Theater in LA and was performed on the Canadian Stage Business and Vancouver Playhouse.
