Terry was created Terence Anthony Stapleton on 10 July 1933 in seaside city of Victor Harbor in South Australia. His parents had been William Stapleton and Millicent Elizabeth Manderson, who acquired transferred to South Australia from the city of Bendigo in Victoria. Terry was the youngest of 6 kids. He was extremely innovative and imaginative as a kid and would attract, paint and work out moments from films and takes on which he previously written. In his early adult years he joined the Adelaide Repertory Theatre and trained as an actor, with roles in such productions as Summer from the Seventeenth Doll, by Ray Lawler and THE MAIN ONE Day of the entire year, by Alan Seymour. He’d also spend many hours composing his own takes on. He worked for a while like a Draftsman using the Defence Division until Hector Crawford held auditions for the business lead roles inside a the quickly to become produced Homicide.
