After services in The Royal Australian Surroundings Drive he began freelance writing and journalism focusing on film, theatre and comedy testimonials. IN-MAY 1988 he was employed by THIS paper in Melbourne, Australia being a film critic, afterwards carrying out general journalism and features. From 1987 he also proved helpful being a radio broadcaster/film critic and radio manufacturer in a variety of Melbourne r / c, principally 3AW while carrying out guest pictures on ABC radio, 3CR and 3LO. In 1983 he co-wrote The Dole Bludgers’ Handbook with John Clifford Light and in 1985 composed The Filmgoer’s Instruction To Australian Movies. His long-time camaraderie with film movie director Geoffrey Wright got him tasks in three of Wright’s movies: Enthusiast Boy, Romper Stomper and Metallic Skin. Taking a decade from the press he worked in the College or university of Tasmania Medical College but is currently back working like a film critic/reviewer on ABC Regional Radio in Hobart, Tasmania in a normal weekly program section with Michael Veitch. Although ‘semi-retired’ he’s pre-producing and offers created a script, with Bernie McDonald, for an attribute film biopic on Australia’s highest position World Battle 2 commander, Field Marshal Sir Thomas Blamey.
