Born just a few moments from downtown Pittsburgh, Pa, Windy Leigh was raised like a tomboy. She loved working on vehicles and as an adolescent got employment in an car body store (in senior high school she experienced taken car mechanics classes for just two years). After graduation she wedded and relocated from Pittsburgh to Altoona, Pa.
