British article writer/director Anthony Kimmins was a naval officer in World Battle I, and following the war became a film actor and playwright. He published and directed many films for English comedian George Formby in the 1930s, but using the outbreak of Globe Battle II Kimmins rejoined the Royal Navy and spent the duration in the services. With the finish of the battle Kimmins returned towards the film market, but his result was relatively erratic, which range from the wonderful and well-received emotional thriller Mine Very own Executioner (1947) towards the main flop Bonnie Prince Charlie (1948). His last film, The Amorous Mr. Prawn (1962), was an version of his stage farce that was popular on the Western world End.
