Berend McKenzie has called Vancouver house since 1990 and spent some time working in film and Television as well while theatre since. He has already established the enjoyment of dealing with a few of Canada’s most talented and innovative thinkers including Darrin Hagen, Mardi Maraden and Denis Simpson. In film and Television he spent some time working with Oscar honor winning stars Halle Berry (Catwoman) and Angelina Jolie (Existence or SOMETHING SIMILAR TO It). A few of his additional credits consist of Adromeda, Jeremiah and Chilly Squad. In 2001 he received the Best Celebrity Honor (yes you go through it correct) for his portrayal of Charlotte in Christopher Durang’s strike play, Beyond Therapy. He offers written several items for the Loud and Queer Event in Edmonton Alberta. These items include Fashion Law enforcement, Gay Satisfaction, Weiner Talk, Bloodstream Shower at St. Pauls and Jones’n. His 1st full-length play, LOG OFF the Mix, Mary, a queer puppet display for adults, loved three successful operates in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. It received the Xtra Western Hero Honor for Best LIVE SHOW in 2008. Berend’s second full-length one-man display NGGRFG has loved shows across Canada like the Young People’s Theater in Toronto and a 50 college tour in Vancouver.
