Writer/Movie director Michael Walker made his feature filmmaking debut using the Lions Gate discharge Chasing Rest starring Jeff Daniels. Chasing Rest premiered on the Toronto International Film Celebration in, and continued to win Greatest Film at Celebration of Fantastic Film in Sweden, and Jury Award at Gerardmer. A graduate of NY University’s Tisch College from the Arts, Film Plan, Michael also studied on the Stella Adler Conservatory for Performing in LA. His latest film, Cost Check, starring Parker Posey, premiered at Sundance in 2012 to rave reviews. It really is getting distributed theatrically by IFC Movies, starting November 2012. He is editing and enhancing his following film, The Maid’s Area, with Dolly Hall producing. He lives in NY.
